Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to His Holiness Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja.

Here in Dallas we were all shocked when we heard the news. It is very hard to accept that we will not be able to see Tamal Krishna Maharaja walking around the neighborhood here in Dallas and visiting with the devotees on the block. Dallas is very much his home and he has been the driving force behind the establishment of this wonderful community of devotees.

Although many of the devotees here (me included) are disciples of Tamal Krishna Maharaja, we also have a very diverse community of devotees having many different gurus. Tamal Krishna Maharaja specifically wanted this. He was very inclusive of everyone here and dealt lovingly with them all, not just his disciples. The wonderful part about this is that everyone came together as a family to mourn Maharaja. Last night everyone met up in his quarters to relish remembering the various pastimes that we hold dear to our hearts. It was a very joyous occasion.

Although philosophically we understand that not a blade of grass moves without the will of the Lord, we will miss him very much and look forward to one day again seeing his blissful smiling face in the association of the Lord and His devotees.

Your servant,
Danakeli dasa
