Remembrances from Kuala Lumpur
by Mulakaranam dasa

Hare Krishna!

Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga! All glories to His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja!

March 17, 2002, marked the Smrti Sabha (the remembrance gathering) for His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja in Sri Jagannatha Mandir, ISKCON Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While expressing our heartfelt appreciation, the temple president said, "We thank all devotees who helped in organizing this Smrti Sabha festival..."

Devotees offer puspanjali to Tamal Krishna Goswami

This picture shows devotees, who usually gather for the weekly Sunday Feast, offering puspanjali prayers for His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja.

Govinda Rajoo speaks.

This is Bhakta Govinda Rajoo, making his appreciation offering saying, "His Holiness came to Kuala Lumpur, for the first time in 1995 and officiated at the wedding of my daughter Sri Radhika dd." He further went on to say that this wedding of his daughter to HG Bhakti Vinod was all arranged by His Holiness. "For this mercy we, my wife and I, will never forget His Holiness", he said with tears in his eyes. Sri Radhika dd. and Bhakti Vinod are now actively serving in the Hong Kong Temple.

Sridhara dasa cries for mercy.

I captured this very touching scene after the festival, when everyone had left the temple. I had to stay because of my brother-in-law, who was not feeling well to enough to travel. Feeling separation, this disciple, HG Sridhara dasa, lies on the lap of his spiritual master on the Vyasasana, begging and crying for mercy and blessings.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your humble servant,
Mulakaranam dasa
