The Midwest Rave Scene

Haribol.

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Prabhupada.

I'm writing to see if there are any devotees out there that are connected in any way with the rave scene. We're trying to start up a promotion group in the Midwest area to throw all-night parties with a Krsna-conscious-centered theme. This seems to be an almost untapped area here in Iowa and a fertile ground to plant some bhakti seeds.

As of yet we haven't begun, but we're very enthusiastic that this could become a great preaching vehicle à la the early Mantra Rock concerts in San Francisco.

We're mainly interested in contacting those devotees who have either had some experience in this area— i.e. are dj's, promoters— or have preached in this area and are interested in helping out in any way.

Currently there really isn't any center in the Iowa region, but we feel that this could be a great way to introduce the philosophy to the people here, who would otherwise not have the opportunity or inclination to inquire further into the essence of pure devotional life. If this sounds all right, please email me at sankirtana@harekrishnatemple.com and let me know in what capacity you might be able to help.

Thanks a lot.

A tiny servant,
Bhakta Matthew
