debate was even going on! You are dealing with the minority. Apart from
a very, very few heretics (one, actually), our whole community here in
Sydney is in abhorrence of the bogus "Ritvik" so-called
philosophy and the shamelessly offensive smear tactics that these people
have for so long used to smoke screen this nonsense.

I,
Caitanya Nitai dasa, my wife Goloka Prema devi dasi and my daughter
Citralekha devi dasi (she is initiated), living in the ISKCON - New
Varshan
farm community near Auckland, New Zealand, want to advise you that we
reject
the ritvikism presented in the CHAKRA debate.
I
would also like to add that we are voting because we find this ritvik
theory stupid and danderous, but we think that neither you nor ISKCON
authorities are addressing the root problem.
I
sent a long report to a few ISKCON authorities last January, including
about 260 quotations from Srila Prabhupada. I received only few answers,
all
very appreciative though.
In a
few words, I mention in this report what Srila Prabhupada's most
essential instructions are (sadhana, preaching,etc...), that many
devotees
including many leaders do not strictly follow these basic points, which
has
caused a general weakening of ISKCON and a number of falldowns. As a
result,
faith in general has decreased a lot, particularly faith in the leaders
and
in the gurus.
Since
faith is practically the most important factor in a devotee's life,
and since many devotees have to some degree lost faith in ISKCON
leaders, in
order to spiritually survive, they felt the need to get deeply connected
with the most powerful devotee, Srila Prabhupada.
Now,
the point regarding ritvikism is that some of these devotees thought
that, "In order to feel mysel deeply, strongly connected with Srila
Prabhupada, I have to consider myself an initiated disciple of Srila
Prabhupada". This is wrong. I have shown in my report that all
ISKCON
devotees can have a deep, strong relationship with Srila Prabhupada as
Adi-Guru, or Founder-Acarya, or Param Siksa-Guru. This is a living
reality,
there is no need to be initiated by Srila prabhupada to feel this deep
connection. It is simply a question of proper understanding.
And of course, this "rivikism"
is in neither supported by Srila
Prabhupada's teachings nor any other Scripture.
Besides
this, Srila Prabhupada strongly stressed that his disciples must
work within ISKCON and cooperate with ISKCON, and I feel that most of
the
"pro-ritvik devotees" have a serious problem in this regard,
they want to
use their theory to become independent and act as they want. This is a
major
contradiction, and to my understanding, the biggest danger in this
regard. I
have shown in my report that anybody who considers himself a disciple of
Srila Prabhupada, wether diksa- or siksa-disciple, must work for ISKCON
in
cooperation with ISKCON authorities. Anybody who does not want to do
this is
certainly not a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, wether he was initiated by
Srila prabhupada or not does not make any difference.
Last,
to my understanding, the remedy to this terrible sickness affecting
ISKCON, the decrease of faith, lies in two points:
- as mentioned above, helping the devotees to develop a deep, strong
relationship with Srila Prabhupada.
- strictly following Srila Prabhupada's most essential instructions,
which
will make our leaders and all the devotees stronger and automatically
increase faith in general.
However
after submitting my report to a few devotees, I was very much
surprised and disappointed to see that, although they cannot disagree
with
the essential points, they still do not want to put them into practice.
What
to do?
For example, in at least
30 quotations Srila Prabhupada says that the key
to success in spiritual life is to rigidly attend the whole morning
programme everyday. He also says in about 20 different quotations that
anybody who does this will develop a great spiritual strength. He also
says
in many different places that the slightest neglect in regard to these
basic
principles will CAUSE ANY OTHER THING WE MAY TRY TO FAIL.
However most devotees,
including many leaders, won't do it. They will
simply make meeting after meeting, write tons of letters, spending a lot
of
time and energy, to eventually go ... nowhere.
What
about your sadhana, Prabhu?
Regarding
Adridharana Prabhu, I would like him to do a simple thing: go
before Lord Nrsimhadeva's Deity in our Mayapur temple (with two other
witnesses) and say
- how many rouds he has chanted during the past twelve months
- how much money he has taken from the ISKCON-Calcutta's collection for
his
own maintenance during the past twelve months.

I
voted on chakra web page, and it worked fine, thank you.
I got an idea. You could be wise to invite those
court people for a
wonderful prasadam feast plus some kind of presentation which will
convince
them that without basis of sadhu, shastra and guru the court has no
right to
decide for ISKCON gurus to stop initiating. Lets say you invest 10 000
USD
in this feast plus presentation (might include flying in some respected
pundits from south India
for their valued view on the subject matter. etc)
and you save some 100 000 in legal expences, that would not be so bad, I
suppose?! This seems to be something arranged by Krishna to get the
legal
system of India on our side...
Do the
judges know that Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura was a judge by
profession, and probably the best one India has ever seen?! Did
Bhaktivinode
handle any similar case? I doubt, it's so ridiculous...,

disciple of Tamal Krishna Goswami Gurudeva. He is my representative of
Srila Prabhupada and he is my "Srila Prabhupada" at the same

personally guiding me as Srila Prabhupada guided/guides my spiritual
uncles and aunts in the beginning of ISKCON in the U.S.
To accept that Gurudeva is my "ritvik" guru is an improper
description.
He is my diksa guru as Prabhupada is the diksa guru for my spiritual
aunts and uncles. Prabhupada is my siksa guru and the siksa guru for the
whole generations to come as well.
I oppose the ritvik debate on Chakra in this way. My spiritual father
Srila Gurudeva and my spiritual grandfather Srila Prabhupada will remain
for me eternally in this way. This manifestation of impersonalism, in
the form of relegating all ISKCON gurus to "ritvik" status is
much like
"throwing the baby out with the bath water."

For one reason or another many devotees are having
difficulty voting for ISKCON
against the Ritviks on the CHAKRA website. Many complain they can't
access the
internet, and others say they can't find a separate computer. Those
experiencing such difficulties can now vote by e-mail on COM.
1. If you are using WINCOM or MACCOM, address a
letter with the subject "VOTE"
and send it to "Internet News."
2. Type in your spiritual name, nearest temple,
spiritual status, and that you
reject the ritvikism presented in the CHAKRA debate
3. Click on 'send' and you've done it.
If you are not using WINCOM or MACCOM send you

Multiple votes in one letter from various devotees
in a temple are acceptable
provided CHAKRA receives each individual voter's above-mentioned

voting. The issue of post-samadhi initiations in ISKCON can only be

against ritvik system,

However : I also believe that we have to approach
the justified concerns and
worries behind the ritviks agressive and extreme positions and try
not to polarize even more by taking defensive and extremists positions
ourselves.
Most importantly, Iskcon should give up their
policy of appointing gurus

instead accept the system that guru simply becomes guru by qualification
and by following parampara without deviation - not by title or
appointnment
- The iskcon leadership should apologize for that grave mistake of
appointing gurus which has split the community of Prabhupada disciples.
The GBC should give up that position and sincerely apologize to all
those
Prabhupada disciples who were discouraged and treated as third class and
often still are because they never received or even wanted that title.
By appointing gurus Iskcon also wrongly takes
responsibility for those who
fall down, so each fall down increases distrust into iskcon s
leadership.
It is obvious that none of the disciples of Prabhupada can claim
authority
as guru in an absolute sense but has to prove himself constantly by
qualification, the main qualification being not deviating from
the teachings of parampara and not adding or subtracting anything.
It is sickening to see that some "gurus" preach their
subjective opinions
and speculations about UFO s and such goofy stuff while claiming
absolute
authority over the rational lives of their diciples.
And it is time that the Prabhupada disciples move closer together,
by overcoming artificial elitarian designastions and reunite in the
preaching and loving cooperation, to please HDG Srila Prabhupada,

ISKCON einen Gerichtsprozess initiert der zur Foge haben könnte, dass
jeglich Einweihungen von Gurus unterbunden werden.
Obwohl es sicherlich einer Guru Reform in ISKCON
bedarf, und diese auch
schon eingeleited wurde, ist die Ritvik Philosophy wohl offensichtlich
